Company Overview
Mental Health Resource Center is a not-for-profit Florida corporation that provides a wide range of mental health and behavioral health care services to the community such as 24-hour emergency services, inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults as well as outpatient services such as medication management, case management, and counseling.

Job Summary
In collaboration with the Clinical Director of the Comprehensive Services Centers (CSCs), the Operations Manager oversees the support services provided at the CSCs. This role ensures that staff are well supported and proficient in delivering efficient, high-quality services to the community. It involves coordinating regularly scheduled and urgent care appointments to maximize access to care for individuals served. The Operations Manager provides supervision and staff development for the Community Resource Specialists and Front Office Managers. Through this leadership, the Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing the skills and effectiveness of staff, contributing significantly to the overall operational excellence of the CSCs.

Responsibilities
  • In coordination with the CSC Clinical Director, ensures all persons seeking services through the CSCs are assessed and enrolled in the appropriate level of care,
  • Ensures adequate staff are available to serve individuals seeking urgent care.
  • Ensures the CSC front offices operate efficiently, effectively, and provide adequate support to CSC staff.
  • Ensures individuals seeking services at the CSCs are able to access the treatment and support necessary to prevent hospitalizations through scheduling and insurance authorizations.
  • Ensures the Community Resource Specialists are educated about area resources so that they can provide appropriate referrals to meet the needs of the persons seeking services through the CSCs.
  • Ensures coordination and communication between the front office, medical services care coordinators and security staff to ensure persons accessing CSC services are directed to appropriate staff and are receiving excellent customer service.
  • Ensures the appropriate scheduling of all persons for on-going services and follow up care including contacting individuals who miss appointments.
  • Coordinates the completion of financial attestations ensuring that funding source is correctly added to the billing system for all CSC individuals.
  • Conducts regular departmental staff meetings and provides individual supervision to staff members.
  • Facilitates recruitment, hiring, orientation, retention, evaluation and employee relations in coordination with the Human Resource Department.
  • Ensures compliance with staff development plans and training.
  • Computes time sheets and leave requests within scheduled time periods.
  • Coordinates and participates in regular meetings with the CSC Clinical Director and Clinical Managers to ensure operational procedures at the CSCs align with agency policies and best practice standards.
Qualifications
  • Masters or Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice or a related Human Services field (a related Human Service field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior or development).
  • Three years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Email and the use of the Internet required
  • Proficiency in the RBHS/MHRC Electronic Health Records and Patient Information System demonstrated within three months of employment
Position Details
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday days. May require some evening hours.
