A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STARTER/RANGER:

As a Starter/Ranger, you will be responsible for maintaining order, disbursement of play, and controlling the pace of play for members and guests at Bonita Bay Club. You will direct players to their appropriate tee times, and work closely with golf staff to ensure all information given to players is accurate. You will be responsible for providing scorecards, pencils, tees, towels, and divot mix to players prior to play. The experience of the players will depend on your excellent customer service and clear communication.


JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to drive a golf cart.
  • Must be able to lift overhead and carry ice buckets up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to push and pull for sweeping golf balls off the range.
  • Must be able to be in hot and humid outdoor conditions for up to 12 hours each day.
  • Must have a flexible schedule being available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent customer and communication skills.
  • Must be able to react quickly and use good judgment.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to anticipate the needs of members.
  • Must be in compliance with a Drug-Free Workplace.
