YOUR DAY

As a Quality Improvement Specialist, your main focus is on maintaining our regulatory compliance and developing strategies for improving our standards. Attentively, you analyze and audit documents to ensure they comply with human services regulations. You also review and support our Medicaid, DCFS, DHS, and COA programs, making sure that we're up-to-date on all accreditation requirements and funding standards. As you collect data, you develop and implement recommendations to support our compliance.

On the quality assurance side, you analyze our day-to-day business operations to identify roadblocks and areas for improvement. You create tools to improve our efficiency, establish an action plan for monitoring key performance indicators, and create targeted programs to address specific areas such as auditing, training, or business workflow redesign.


QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

  • 21+ years old
  • 2+ years of experience in a human services or business field
  • 1+ years of experience with quality assurance
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals from various disciplines
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and with a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to complete CARE and TCI training and implement their principles
