JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace

LOCATION: Greensboro, NC

PAY RATE: Up to $50.00 per hour

Summary:

  • Develops solutions for production issues related to manufacturing processes, ensuring aircraft configuration within cost and specification guidelines.

  • Supports detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.

  • Develops documentation and procedures to meet customer and regulatory requirements, addressing problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.

  • Interprets engineering drawings, acting as a liaison between design engineering, tooling, the machine shop, quality, and production teams, and analyzing statistical data such as process capability studies and throughput rates.

  • Provides technical support, optimizes manufacturing operations, and ensures compliance with HACI standards.

  • Additional duties involve preparing and updating production planning, assisting with BOM identification and control, and managing tooling requests and discrepancy reports.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field preferred

  • Six Sigma training preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of aerospace industry experience

  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications

  • Proficiency in SAP, CAD/CAM, CATIA, and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with nonconformance disposition, resource utilization, and efficiency improvements

  • Ability to create/revise planning and routings, evaluate process improvements, and ensure engineering configuration accuracy via MBOM transactions
