As Shift's Senior Social Media Specialist you will work closely with Corporate Communications and the larger Marketing organization to promote the company, its technology, and its thought leaders via our core social media outlets. In addition, you will evaluate and recommend additional platforms from which the company can share its message. You will be an integral part of our strategy to grow our audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost sales using multiple social media channels.

This position reports to the Head of Corporate Communications. Ideal candidates are located on the East Coast, with the Boston metropolitan area preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Baseline the program, establish KPIs and drive reporting
    • Benchmark Shift's current social media efforts individually and relative to peers and competitors
    • Define and track the KPIs that will showcase what "Shift Social Success" looks like
    • Evaluate the appropriateness of additional social channels as relevant to meeting Shift's business objectives and make relevant recommendations
    • Develop reporting structure and timing that meets the needs of the larger marketing organization and the business overall
  • Own the social media content calendar & lead content creation
    • Coordinate with colleagues to understand which initiatives and campaigns will benefit from social media support
    • Make content recommendations based on target channels
    • Manage the social media publication calendar to ensure appropriate frequency and variety of content
    • Lead social media content creation including drafting of posts and managing image design
    • Ensure social content adheres to brand and style guidelines, and industry best practices
    • Monitor Shift inbound/linking/mentions and competitor social channels

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of social media experience (B2B, SaaS, enterprise technology preferred) including planning and managing content in a corporate, or agency setting
  • A self-starter attitude and eagerness to work in a global, fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A thorough understanding of social media management and strategy
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and/or integrated marketing automation tools
  • Detail orientation
  • Ability to adapt strategies and tactics to meet changing business requirements
