HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

Matrix is seeking to hire an outstanding Human Resource Assistant that shares our passion for providing exceptional support services to our technical team in order to ensure that Matrix succeeds in providing unparalleled technical solutions to our customers. This position is onsite at Matrix Research's Dayton, OH office.

HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE?

Mission: The selected candidate will assist the HR Manager in providing exceptional support services to both Matrix Research's staff and our customers.

How: By using industry best practices and engaging in a team that works cohesively to ensure we make Matrix a great place to do business with and work.

WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?

  • Required:
    • 1- 5 years of previous HR Assistant or similar experience.
    • An associate degree in HR or related field.
    • Willingness to take additional training courses (company provided) with the goal of obtaining professional certification(s) in the future.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication stills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to redirect employees' conversations in a productive manner.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable employment and privacy laws.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD security clearance. A background and drug check are required.
  • Desired:

    • Existing security clearance
  • Job Duties:
    • Provides clerical support to HR Department
    • New Hire insurance enrollments, and assist with retirement eligibility tracking and paperwork.
    • Provide support by attending and organizing recruitment events with technical staff.
    • Building maintenance support including setting up appointments and escorting vendors.
    • Annual enrollment paperwork tracking.
    • Assist with setting up candidate interviews with Hiring Managers.
    • Set up and maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of employee records.
    • Compile Newsletter information for the HR department.
    • Assist with planning and executing company events.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
