Roles and Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing and Relationship Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive deal sourcing strategy to identify and cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, startups, incubators, accelerators, and other sources of deal flow.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to expand professional networks and stay informed about emerging trends and investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential investments aligned with the firm's investment criteria and strategic objectives.
Deal Screening and Evaluation:
- Evaluate inbound deal flow, conduct initial screenings, and assess potential investment opportunities based on strategic fit, market potential, and alignment with investment thesis.
- Coordinate with investment team members to conduct detailed due diligence, financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment for prioritized opportunities.
Pipeline Management and Reporting:
- Manage the deal flow pipeline, tracking and documenting all incoming opportunities, stages of evaluation, and key decision points.
- Prepare regular reports, metrics, and updates on deal flow activities, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
Relationship Building and External Engagement:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with entrepreneurs, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to enhance deal sourcing capabilities and access to quality investment opportunities.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings to promote visibility, establish thought leadership, and attract potential deal flow sources.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline deal flow processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the quality of deal screening and evaluation.
- Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to support effective deal flow management and decision-making.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and expertise in venture capital deal flow management.
