Job Description
The Shop/Admin Support will react quickly and proficiently to the customer’s requirements with the ability to manage numerous processes and tasks. This candidate will need some mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Office products and ERP systems. Automotive industry experience is a plus. Training for this position will take place at WEISS North America in Willoughby, OH.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position. This role is an entry level position to learn general business function along with shop functions. This position reports directly to Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with Eng/Sales Support Admin
- Learning data entry
- Maintaining sales and customer reports
- Auditing reports and data
- Learning product mix and function
- Experiencing quote, sales order entry thru to ship.
- Assemble simple to complex electrical & mechanical assemblies per specifications
- Interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Learning to apply standard assembly practices
- Learning ow to measure parts and look for quality issues
- Prep material for ship including disconnect and crating
- Operate a tow motor (Hi-Lo) and overhead crane as needed
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed
Desired Skills & Experience
- Education: High school degree or GED required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience manufacturing, customer service, engineering, or sales assist environment
- Experience in the industrial/automotive industry is a plus
- Strong desire to work with a fast-growing, high-tech leader in the field of factory automation equipment
- Confident personality with a can do attitude is a must; creative solution finder
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
- Well organized with an aptitude for details
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus, but not required
- Must be hands on and have the ability to understand and demonstrate our products effectively
- Travel to Willoughby, OH as needed; less than 10%
