Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated sales engineering draftsman to join our team. As a sales engineering draftsman, you will place equipment in 3D layouts, model appropriate ductwork and spouting, and create technical drawings. All models will be generated using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Depending on experience, occasional travel could be required. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual possessing experience with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD. Duties and

Responsibilities:

  • According to best practice, generate accurate 3D models of spouting, process air, and various machine frames.
  • Operate a Faro 3D scanner to scan existing facilities.
  • Digitally place equipment in existing 3D scanned facilities.
  • Create technical and fabrication drawings.
  • Maintain accurate BOMs for all designs.
  • Coordinate with sales to ensure a clear understanding of project scope.
  • Select appropriate ductwork based on equipment requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience modeling general parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor's sheet metal environment.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor's frame generator.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply best modeling practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any of the following certifications: ACA, ACP, ACE, CSWA, CSWP, CSWPA-SM, CSWPA-DT, CSWPA-WD.
  • Experience operating a FARO 3D scanner.
  • DFM experience.
  • Experience drawing in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault.
