Associate Creative Director of Copy

We're looking for an Associate Creative Director of Copy to lead a team of writers in creating compelling content that aligns with our strategic objectives. This role requires a balance of leadership, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will not only manage and mentor a team but also own the copywriting for our newest Saas Product. Your role involves translating complex product information into simple, engaging language tailored for a B2B audience, monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to optimize content, and maintaining brand consistency across all channels. Crucially, this position involves collaborating closely with stakeholders in product, marketing, and sales to ensure that all content supports business goals and drives customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a small team of copywriters. Provide constructive feedback, oversee professional development, and ensure high-quality output.
- Editorial Oversight: Review and edit content produced by the team, ensuring it meets brand guidelines and maintains a high standard of creativity and technical excellence.
- Strategic Content Creation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders in product, marketing, and sales, to conceptualize and execute content strategies that effectively communicate the brand’s message and meet business objectives.
- Copywriting: Craft compelling and clear copy for diverse formats such as product descriptions, blog posts, email campaigns, case studies, white papers, ad copy, video scripts, social media posts, landing pages, and instructional guides.
- Drive Engagement and Conversion: Develop content that is not only informative but also engaging and optimized for conversion across various digital platforms. This includes writing SEO-friendly blog articles, persuasive landing pages, and targeted ad copy to attract and convert leads.
- Product Understanding and Promotion: Translate complex product features into clear, benefit-driven content that resonates with a B2B audience, aiding in product adoption and user retention.
- Brand Consistency: Guard the consistency of the brand’s voice across all content and platforms, adapting tone and style for different audiences and mediums.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple content projects from conception to completion, ensuring they stay on track and align with the marketing calendar.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of copywriting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a creative team. Preferably in a tech or SaaS-based company.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of writing styles and projects.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing a team and leading content projects.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating and leading a team to excellence and collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
