JOB SUMMARY

Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming R+CO’s digital landscape? As the Director of Social Media, you will be at the forefront of our brand’s digital evolution. Your mission: to captivate and engage our audience with innovative content that reflects our cutting-edge hair care products.

Leading a team of talented social coordinators and partnering with visionary creatives, you will collaborate with marketing, creative, and product development teams to craft and execute strategies that resonate with our audience and amplify our brand's presence across all social platforms. Your passion, creativity, and strategic vision will be key in driving brand awareness

and fostering deeper connections with our community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Visionary: Develop and oversee a comprehensive social media strategy (including Live Content) that aligns with our brand’s values and objectives. Continuously evaluate and adapt the strategy to stay ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Content Maestro: Lead the creation of visually stunning and compelling content, including photos, videos, graphics, live streams, and written copy, for use across our social media channels, website, and other digital platforms.

Inspiring Leader: Manage and inspire a team of social media and content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and mentoring to ensure the highest quality of work.

Platform Guru | Manage and optimize our presence on various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. Stay up-to-date with platform updates and trends to maximize engagement.

Community Builder: Foster and nurture relationships with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and feedback promptly. Encourage user-generated content and meaningful interactions.

Brand Champion: Ensure that all content is consistent with the R+Co brand in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice.


Data-Driven Strategist: Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze social media performance metrics. Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team, highlighting successes and opportunities for improvement.


Content Planner: Develop and maintain a content calendar that ensures a consistent and cohesive brand presence across all digital platforms.


Trend Spotter: Stay current with hair care and social media trends to identify opportunities for innovative content and marketing strategies.


Resource Manager: Responsible for the budget allocated to social media and content creation, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.


Social Equity & Compliance Expert: Ensure all content adheres to industry regulations and best practices for transparency and authenticity.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in social media and content management within the beauty industry, ideally within professional hair care.
  • Thrives in highly-entrepreneurial settings, and is self-motivated.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, advertising, and digital marketing trends.
  • Exceptional creative and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for hair care and beauty trends.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of all current and emerging social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, Facebook, and more.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Sitting: Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout the workday.
