Job Title : Lead Business Analyst (Finance)

Job Type : W2 / C2C / 1099

Experience : 10-15 Years

Location : Washington, District of Columbia

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst (Finance) who will have a strong background in the finance industry and a proven track record of working in an Agile/Scrum environment. This role requires superior writing, editing, and communication skills, along with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in the finance industry.
  • Strong experience in Agile methodology is essential.
  • Solid experience in developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • In-depth experience in creating test plans, test strategies, test cases, and control sets for testing purposes. Ability to design and execute test cases for application development and implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of bank loan products is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and testing processes.
  • Superior writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain business requirement documentation.
  • Gather and analyze technical information from various sources to document new and changing requirements and processes.
  • Independently gather information from technical and non-technical SMEs to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documents.
  • Perform testing of functionality in collaboration with developers.
  • Identify and document backlog of user stories, details within user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring they adequately cover the requirements.
  • Interact with business users to explain user stories, and acceptance criteria, and obtain their sign-off.
  • Participate in functional discussions with vendor(s) during sprints.
  • Document reporting requirements.
  • Identify control sets of data for testing purposes.
  • Write test cases to cover all user stories, ensuring they are tested and signed off.
  • Coordinate with vendor(s) regarding user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases, and obtain their sign-off.
  • Conduct sprint-level testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) of provided/developed solutions.
  • Interface with business clients to share test results and obtain approval to move the report/fix to production.
  • Document test results in the required format.
  • Coordinate with internal control teams to obtain required clearances for go-live.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, development team, solutions architect, and business users.
