Home Health Aide

Part-Time Position with potential for Full-Time if Desired

Starting $14.85 per hour

Preferred Supports is seeking experienced Home Health Aides in the Muskegon and Grand Haven areas

Job Description

The Home Health Aide provides non-medical, in-home support and home management
services to clients. He/she provides assistance with personal care, nutrition, exercises,
ambulation, positioning, and transfers under the direction of the Services Manager according to
the established plan of care. He/she has the genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled.

Job Duties/Knowledge:

  • Interface with clients, families, and employees to ensure quality service is delivered.
  • Implement plan of care initiated by referral source.
  • Maintaining a calm, caring, motivating attitude toward clients and families.
  • Observing and reporting changes in client's condition to this agency's supervisor
  • Communicate in a professional, timely manner, all information, concerns, and emergencies to appropriate team members.
  • Attendance and participation for all assigned training, and team meetings as requested.
  • To creatively problem solve, prioritize, and plan with a team, to assure follow-through of schedules.
  • Accurately preparing daily records and submitting them through our agency's system.
  • Assisting client with all personal care functions as needed
  • Follows established policies and procedures related to assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with other people.
  • Skilled in interpersonal relationships
  • Graduate from high school or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of required training.
  • One year minimum of personal care experience is preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Current Michigan Driver's License, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Must maintain credentials
  • Available for on-call shifts, flexibility with assignments.
  • Clear criminal record.

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: Starting $14.85/hr
