Private Homeschool Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Homeschool Teacher to join our unique micro-school, teaching four bright and talented elementary-aged children in a home setting. Our students are vibrant and unique, each with their passions and learning styles. Our 6th grader is an avid reader and writer with a love for storytelling and animals. Our 5th grader thrives on structure and rules, working diligently when parameters are clear. Our 3rd grader is a voracious reader with a sensitive spirit, always ready with a good story or joke. Finally, our 1st grader is a budding reader and math enthusiast whose tenacity drives him to see rules as flexible.

Compensation:$25 - $35 hourly
Responsibilities:In-person instruction in NW Mesa (near Center McKellips)
Online Educational Support via Zoom (While Traveling)
Managing a Micro School Environment for four Students (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade)
Collaborating with parents to determine individualized core curriculum, based on student's grade levels and abilities
Adapting teaching methods to provide individualized or small group instruction to meet the needs of each student
Using effective instructional strategies to inspire students to do their very best
Communicating and partnering with parents to ensure student success
Supporting and guiding children with high CogAT scores
Qualifications Need to Have
- 3+ Years Experience as an elementary educator
- Positive Attitude & Love for teaching children
- Arizona Teacher Certification
- Self-starter and proven professional with strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a penchant for proactive communication
- A high level of emotional intelligence and a sense of extreme ownership
- World-class verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Qualifications Nice to Have
- 10+ Years Experience as an elementary educator
- Previous Experience as a Private Homeschool Teacher
- Familiarity with curriculum such as The Good and the Beautiful (or similar)
Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $25 to $35/hr
- Part-Time: 3-4 hours per day, 4 days per week (M-F) + Lesson Prep
