Job Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in co-teaching lessons, leading small group activities, and providing individual instruction.
- Organize classroom materials and maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
- Supervise students during class time and breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide academic support to students, helping them with assignments and understanding concepts.
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Assist students with daily living activities, such as toileting, hygiene, and mealtime assistance.
- Participate in professional development trainings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical agility to lift 50 pounds minimum, to shoulder height.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk, and reach overhead.
- Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors, and on the telephone.
- Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone.
- Working Conditions:
- Exposure to climate-controlled classroom settings and outside weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
- May involve exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to very loud on occasional to frequent time periods.
- May involve working in crowded environments.
