Job DescriptionJob Description

The Manual Injection Molding Operator is responsible for correctly and efficiently molding/potting wire and cable assemblies for aerospace and defense components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the manual over-mold processes
  • Provides molded components in a timely manner to meet production schedules
  • Manages raw mold material to ensure traceability, shelf life, and to prevent contamination
  • Generates documentation on mold runs for accountability
  • Works with production departments to ensure quality of products produced to meet company quality standards
  • Follows work instructions and procedures for preventative maintenance of molds
  • Follows work instructions and safety practices in order to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Cross trains in assembly areas as time allows
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Polyurethane potting or injection molding experience
  • Must be able to regularly sit, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to pass a Vision exam to inspect work at a close distance
  • Must be able to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics
  • Must be able to accurately use measuring tools and do basic math
  • Must be able to effectively use all tools required for potting process
  • Must have keen attention to detail and quality
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
