JOB SUMMARY:
The preferred candidate for this position will possess the ability to achieve success as an independent contributor as well as a collaborative teammate within the Human Resources Department, and as a leader to internal and external clients and partners, and the QCRH organization as a whole.
Key functions of this role include the ability to learn and perform within a variety of key Human Resources competencies and functions to include Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Inclusion, Culture, & Talent, Training and Development, and general administrative responsibilities. This individual will rotate through different areas within HR to gain a full understanding of the business. This individual will communicate with the Human Resources team, leadership, and other employees across the organization in a polished, relatable, and professional manner.
Our internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills within Human Resources. You will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the business. You will have the opportunity to complete tasks that will help you understand the day-to-day operations and develop well-rounded skillsets and valuable experience. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance and coaching from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. Our goal is to ensure the internship provides gained valuable insights, provides a solid foundation in Human Resources best practices, and potentially sets the stage for future career opportunities at QCR Holdings, Inc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Full-time or part-time graduate or undergraduate student with anticipated graduation date prior to December 2025. Traditional and non-traditional students and institutions are considered.
• Human Resources or closely related field of study strongly preferred but not required. Other areas of focus could include employment law, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or corporate leadership and culture.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive academic standing as well as leadership and community involvement. Preferred minimum GPA 3.0.
• Ability to demonstrate success while working with diverse individuals of many different backgrounds and capabilities through issues that can be challenging and complex and carry a sense of urgency.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and utilize a range of modes to communicate information effectively and includes adjusting style and approach to provide the best experience to a wide range of clients, people, and audiences.
• Need to possess working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel/Word and cloud-based applications, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe, or other common work tools.
• Must have the desire and ability to provide and receive sensitive and confidential information in a manner that creates and maintains safe space and relies upon a strong emotional intelligence skillset.
• Ability to review, assess, prioritize, organize, manage, and execute on a variety of tasks simultaneously and work independently to meet the required deadlines assigned. Strong communication capability to articulate roadblocks, bottlenecks, the need for assistance, or the courage to take accountability with challenging projects.
*15-20 Hours per week through the end of December 2024.
