We are seeking a visionary and strategic VP of Finance to join our executive leadership team and drive our financial strategy through the next phase of transformation and growth.


Position Overview:

The VP of Finance will be a key member of our leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, providing strategic guidance, and playing a pivotal role in shaping our financial roadmap as we continue to expand and evolve. The VP of Finance will lead the financial team, contribute to executive decision-making, and ensure the financial health of the company aligns with our overall mission and goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

· Participate in the 1, 3, 5-year planning process to establish our market opportunities, total addressable market, and business strategy with the leadership team.

· Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with our long-term goals and objectives.

· Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling processes, ensuring accuracy and thorough analysis.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

· Provide insightful financial analysis to guide decision-making across the organization, including revenue projections, expense management, and profitability analysis.

· Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for the executive team and board of directors. Including:

o Sales – Revenue Graph by business line, by product, by channel

o Expenses – Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Graph

o Gross Margin or Profit (GM%)

o Contribution Margin (CM%) – by business, by product, by channel

o Break-Even - by business, by product, by channel

o A/R Aging Graph

o A/P Aging Graph

o Cash Flow

o Quote to Cash (by business, product, channel)

o Revenue / Full Time Employees

o Liquidity


Capital Management:

· Evaluate and manage capital structure, funding requirements, and investment opportunities to support growth initiatives.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to secure necessary funding, manage debt, and optimize cash flow.

· Support capital raise and business valuation efforts as needed with financial forecasting


Risk Management and Compliance:

· Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

· Identify and mitigate financial risks, guiding the company toward sound risk management practices.

· Identify the levers to reduce the business risk to optimize valuation.


Financial Leadership:

· Lead and mentor the financial team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with other senior leaders to drive alignment between financial goals and overall business strategy.

· Manage and optimize the financial support team to eliminate redundancy and ensure the business has the core functions, capabilities as the business grows (these functions include: bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, financial reporting)


Investor Relations:

· Serve as a key point of contact for investors, communicating financial performance, growth strategies, and addressing investor inquiries.

· Support the development of financial forecasts for investor discussions and evolution over time.


Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

· Proven track record of at least 10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles. Experience within high-growth startups, technology-driven. Healthcare IT organizations strongly preferred.

· Must have experience in SaaS financial accounting.

· Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.

· Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a collaborative and motivational approach.

· Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets is a plus.

· Deep understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.

· Must be a self-starter and be comfortable operating in a non-structured environment without large company resources and processes.

· Must have the energy and curiosity to think outside the box challenging issues and bring intellect and experience to solve such issues.

· Must have experience implementing and managing modern technology software supporting finance, such as Mosaic, HubSpot, Ramp, etc.
