Crew Scheduler

Essential Functions
The Crew Scheduler performs the following essential functions:
1. The Crew Scheduler reports directly to the Manager of Crew Scheduling.
2. Responsible for ensuring adequate crew coverage of all positions to staff every flight.
3. Ensures Crewmembers assigned to all flights are both current and qualified.
4. Ensures all Crewmembers are scheduled to comply with the regulations in 14 CFR 121.500 as well as meeting all Collective Bargaining Agreement policies.
5. Monitors flights throughout assigned shift to ensure duty time limitations are not exceeded.
6. Manage operational disruptions and solve them in a proactive manner.
7. Running a daily violation report for weekly schedules.
8. Ensure effective utilization of crewmembers.
9. Demonstrate expected behavior as well as the ability to remain calm and even-tempered during stressful situations. Maintain a “customer friendly” attitude when communicating with Crewmembers and other Company personnel.
10. Completion of daily shift checklists.
11. Interface with other departments to adequately plan and coordinate assignments for crewmembers for all flights.
12. Ensure crewmember placement for all flights.
13. Book, monitor and cancel travel, hotels and ground transportation based on company needs, while monitoring and mitigating travel costs.
Additional duties may be assigned based on departmental need.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
1. Ability to prioritize and multi-task using all company software including FlyPal or equivalent crew management system.
2. Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Must possess the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
5. Exceptional time management skills: ability to meet deadlines, multitask and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
6. Must have ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime if eligible.
7. Strong customer service focus and great team player.
8. High school diploma required.
