Position Overview:We are seeking an experience quality manager to ensure the production of high-quality products and processes by establishing, enforcing, and maintaining quality standards. You will also oversee testing of materials and products, develop standards, and lead a quality assurance team to meet operational and financial goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure quality products by establishing and enforcing quality standards, testing materials, and products.
Set quality and reliability standards by collaborating with management, production operators, technicians, and engineers to meet product and consumer requirements.
Develop raw material standards through the study of manufacturing and engineering needs, supplier negotiations, and creation of testing methods.
Implement in-process product inspection standards by analyzing manufacturing methods and devising appropriate testing procedures.
Establish standards for finished product disposition through evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
Institute rework standards by creating inspection and physical testing methods.
Develop and maintain a product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Enforce quality assurance policies, procedures, and government requirements to maintain product quality.
Collaborate with management to enhance product and engineering designs, manufacturing processes, and training methods.
Prepare and present product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Meet quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling, assigning, and following up on employee work.
Build and develop a quality assurance team by recruiting, selecting, training, and managing staff.
Ensure team success through effective leadership, including coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking within professional societies.
Achieve financial objectives by preparing the QA budget, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Contribute to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred
Experience:
5 or more years experience in a quality management role.
Experience with Quality Assurance measuring and testing equipment.
Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards.
Working knowledge of quality system requirements.
Skills:
Leadership and team management skills.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Collaboration and product management skills.
Proficiency in Quality Assurance processes and computer knowledge.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management, and Analytics software.
