What you will do:

  • Maintain books for multiple clients and perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping activities for each client
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Manage clients' accounts, track all income and prepare monthly commission reports, handle cash management, maintain financial records, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Handling AP/AR, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll, review financial statements, and create invoices to be sent to 3rd parties
  • Reviewing bank balances and statements and approving transfers as needed
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure that all tasks are accurate and completed on time
  • Staying up to date with industry developments and best practices
  • Daily client activities and client communication, including requests and timely follow-up on all outstanding matters.
  • Contract analysis and supervision of all functions relative to cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Assist is the preparation of meeting packages and attend client meetings regarding financial projections, investments, contracts, insurance analysis, and other matters as directed by management.
  • Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, credit score issues, insurance renewals and claims.
  • Assist with home and vehicle purchases, reviewing client mail, and coordinating/completing client loan applications.
  • Coordinate and interact with the tax department relative to due dates, supporting documentation, etc.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and knowledge of accounting principles
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience using QuickBooks accounting software
  • Experience in a client or customer-facing role
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, sense of urgency, and ability to follow through
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost security and tact
  • Commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy
