Electrical Foreman

We are currently seeking an Electrical Foreman for our operations in Abilene, Texas. Prefer Local candidates but will consider electricians who will work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. Can count on at least 50-60 hours per week. This is a fast-paced environment. Must be able to contend with the weather conditions.
Foreman
- Supervise and coordinate activities of electricians
- Plan and layout wiring diagrams, conduit systems, and electrical panel locations
- Monitor the progress of projects to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose issues
- Train and mentor electricians in safety protocols and job skills
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are available for projects
- Provides supervision and coordinates activities for design and inspection of all construction projects.
- Primary duties include assisting with safety and environmental compliance, quality control, contractor performance, cost management, and other supervisory activities for field construction projects
- Implements and administers company policies and procedures as delegated by management.
- Ensures plans and performance of various functions within the construction department
- Supervises daily activities of crews and or contractors and schedules inspection requirements for field construction projects.
- Assists in assembling required project documents such as specifications, drawings, other business documents related to field work.
- Coordinates and performs tasks involved with pre-project planning such as required construction documents and material procurement.
- Assembles and reviews construction documentation required for the permanent construction file.
- Communicates with construction crews and contractors regarding issues including safety performance, project scheduling, QA/QC
- Performs typical responsibilities of a supervisor requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and coaching field employees, crews and contractors.
- Reviews work to ensure competency in meeting stated goals and objectives.
- Ensures projects are completed to quality, schedule, cost requirements, and specifications
- Ensure the development of subordinate staff by maintaining competent levels of training.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Texas Journeyman License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in electrical installation and wiring
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Able to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- GlobaLogix provides a drug free workplace, and the company will require you to participate in its drug testing program. This will include a pre-employment drug screen.
- GlobaLogix also performs a driving record and 7-Point comprehensive criminal screen on all hires.
- This position is safety sensitive. GlobaLogix also considers driving a safety sensitive function. A constant state of alertness as an essential job function.
- Legal or illegal, prescribed or non-prescribed and over-the-counter substances can hinder a state of alertness, and one is not permitted to perform work if one is not able to perform in a constant state of alertness.
- Substances that are deemed legal may contain prohibited substances. These substances can hinder alertness and result in a positive test result. A positive result has adverse consequences.
