Responsibilities:

As the Director of Business Development - Commercial Construction, your primary responsibilities will include driving business growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships within the South Florida region. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, and contributing to revenue growth.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies with the VP to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial construction, including office buildings, retail spaces, and hotels.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the creation of proposals and presentations to secure new business.
  • Market Expansion: Collaborate with the executive team to plan the company's growth, market expansion, and diversification strategies.
  • Industry Monitoring: Track industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Networking: Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand awareness and build connections.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the business development team to foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Data Analysis: Use sales metrics and customer feedback to refine strategies and drive improvements.


Background Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within South Florida and occasionally beyond.
