Position Overview

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator manages all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration for Cabot Citrus Farms. This role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations, and the effective administration of employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of benefits and payroll processes utilizing ADP or UKG.

The Profile

Reporting to Cabot Citrus Farms's Talent and Culture Manager, the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator displays a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and enthusiasm. Securing and protecting files to ensure information is never compromised and adhering to Cabot’s security procedures with respect to assigned authorities and responsibilities is exhibited by the Benefits and Compliance Coordinator in all daily tasks. The Benefits and Compliance Coordinator is a member of the team providing support to the operating teams to deliver on the brand’s mission to “Create Magical Places Where Remarkable Memories are Made”.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all resort employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee timesheets, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related documentation
  • Coordinate with department managers to ensure timely submission of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate responses
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other company-provided benefits
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve any issues related to coverage, claims, or eligibility
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollments and deductions to ensure accuracy
  • Provide employees with information and guidance on available benefits and options
  • Ensure payroll and benefits practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with data protection regulations
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or compliance
  • Proficiency with UKG or ADP
  • Experience in hospitality is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems
