Hotel Maintenance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Director to join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our hotel and surrounding grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate all functions of the maintenance department to ensure an efficiently run hotel.
- Monitor and schedule maintenance duties to ensure the hotel is always in a clean, orderly, safe, and attractive condition.
- React and take the lead in emergency repairs of any kind, including equipment breakdowns.
- Develop and implement aesthetic improvement plans for both inside and outside the building.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with department financial budgets.
- Provide hands-on repairs as needed to ensure a proactive approach to all maintenance activities.
- Resolve issues with contractors through investigation and negotiation.
- Assist new housekeeping staff with moving furniture and guests as needed.
- Coordinate contracted services and monitor maintenance functions to ensure adherence to schedule and quality.
- Perform daily walk-around supervision to ensure all work is completed correctly and timely.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest, vendor, and visitor requests for assistance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
- Knowledge of word processing software, inventory software, and payroll systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
This role requires occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions and blood-borne pathogens.
