Position Summary

An Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist works to ensure a proper and timely processing of vendor payments and mileage reimbursements for Self-Directed Services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness as outlined in the FMSC contract. Communication with all program stakeholders about contract and internal policy and procedure is the responsibility of the A/P Specialist. An A/P Specialist is versatile in successfully managing and meeting multiple demands and processing deadlines.

Position Responsibilities Essential Functions
· Receive, review and process invoices and mileage reimbursements to ensure proper justification /documentation for payment according to internal and contract requirements.
· Verify and document participant budgets to avoid over payment.
· Review and enter vendor data information in systems such as bill.com.
· Receive, review and process vendor W-9 documentation.
· Respond to correspondence, assigned service tickets, and escalated emails in the timeline outlined in the Customer Service SOP and/or FMCS contract.
· Provide participant employers with routine guidance related to program and internal requirements.
· Assist in research and audits of invoices and mileage reimbursements.

Other Functions
· Maintain an understanding of program processes, requirements, and deliverables.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; BS in business or accounting preferred.
· Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable.
· Strong attention to detail is required.
· Strong oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage positive communication in difficult situations.
· Outstanding customer service skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally.
· Ability to work independently, determine priorities, and implement necessary actions to meet reporting and processing deadlines.
· Professional and responsive in communication, conduct, and interaction with co-workers; works well as part of a team.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze and draw actionable insight.
· Ability to work collaboratively among diverse personalities and employee populations.
· Ability to work well and adapt under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other software required, Experience with Bill.com is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional remote and onsite office environment. Regular use of office equipment such as but not limited to, VoIP, printer, scanner, and computer.

Work ScheduleThis position is full-time. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. This position is remote but required to attend quarterly in-person team meetings, and other in-person meetings or trainings.
