ESL/DL Instructor

The ESL and DL instructor will play an essential role in helping refugee clients to reach their digital literacy and English proficiency goals by designing and delivering ESL and ESL-Digital Literacy classes, which includes but is not limited to the following duties:
- Conducting activities and lessons based on established teaching methodologies.
- Teaching all classes according to an approved course syllabus
- Designing and teaching basic digital literacy classes
- Maximizing students’ speaking time through oral tests and presentations.
- Displaying excellent classroom management.
- Keeping accurate records of student performance.
- Maintaining standardized guidelines.
- Participating in and contributing to team meetings
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole
Previous experience working in a non-profit or government setting, working with immigrants or refugees with limited English proficiency, and previous experience teaching ESL is preferred but not required.
