ESL Teacher Position Overview

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated ESL Teacher for a full-time, year-long contract position in a Newark, NJ school. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about helping students from diverse linguistic backgrounds succeed academically and integrate seamlessly into the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored ESL lessons for K-8 students, focusing on language acquisition and academic integration.
• Assess students' language skills and progress, providing targeted feedback and support to meet individual needs.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language development and cultural appreciation.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and administration to support students' educational goals and facilitate their transition.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Valid New Jersey teaching certification with ESL endorsement.
• Strong understanding of K-8 ESL curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel from diverse backgrounds.
