Job Purpose:

The Litigation Services department offers essential discovery services, trial preparation, and document support to all case analysts and billable staff within the firm. This position assists paralegals in the assembly of electronic discovery and the production of trial materials and exhibits. The role involves working closely with paralegals to initiate and complete critical, time-sensitive projects.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in eDiscovery or relevant fields, whether in a law firm, in-house legal department, or with an external vendor supporting legal teams.
  • Proficiency with eDiscovery tools, particularly IPRO Local Discovery/Eclipse. Familiarity with Disco, Relativity, and Reveal is a plus. Training will be provided.
  • Expertise in reviewing and constructing complex boolean search queries.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in time management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment.
  • A resourceful self-starter with a passion for results.
  • Ability to operate autonomously while being a collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving work environment.
  • Ability to think quickly, maintain composure under pressure, and manage complex workloads, multiple clients demands, and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist billable staff (Attorneys and Case Analysts) with ongoing eDiscovery needs, including opening new cases, uploading files/documents, and troubleshooting database issues to prepare usable document productions.
  • Maintain and organize server drives used for eDiscovery output assignments.
  • Ensure eDiscovery production requirements and deadlines are met during various phases of eDiscovery projects/tasks within IPRO Local Discovery.
  • Successfully manage multiple concurrent assignments while utilizing project management tools to keep leadership, attorneys, and staff apprised of the status.
  • Use multiple software technologies, processes, and tools to complete largescale complex eDiscovery requests.
  • Organize documents (e.g., Bates labeling and renaming of documents in eDiscovery production output).
  • Handle large volume copying, printing, and assembly of trial and/or exhibit binders.
  • Be familiar with basic project management concepts and electronic evidence rules.
  • Guide legal teams through various phases of the eDiscovery process and ensure best practices are observed.
