Electronics Calibration Specialist Role at Astronautics Corporation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibration of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical testing and measurement instruments for avionics systems and displays.
  • Calibrate devices that measure electric current, voltage, resistance, RF, photometric, pressure, temperature, time, force, torque, flow, and mechanical properties.
  • Work collaboratively under the supervision of the Quality Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure all calibration tasks are performed in accordance with established protocols utilizing both standard and specialized tools.
  • Coordinate with various departments to uphold calibration timelines.
  • Quickly identify and rectify any out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Accurately document calibration procedures in a timely manner.
  • Contribute effectively to achieve the goals of the calibration team.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or a related discipline.
  • Capability to formulate calibration procedures based on standard methodologies and engineering data.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying measurement discrepancies.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate data effectively within a team setting.
  • Experience with technical documentation and the interpretation of schematics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven and detail-oriented individual.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical Demands:

  • Good vision and the capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training.
  • Experience in the repair of testing equipment.
  • A technical background in electronics is advantageous.
