Position Title: RV Resort Clerk
Department: RV Resort
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
The RV Resort Clerk registers guest and collect fees, maintains the cleanliness of the resort including restroom, showers and laundry facility while providing great customer service.
Expectations:

- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers.
- Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all procedures are followed when checking guests into and out of the RV Resort and filling of propane tanks.
- Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).
- Operate a point of sale system/cash register (e.g., maintain change in cash drawer; accept cash, checks, and bankcards for payment; calculate discounts; ensure proper identification for certain transactions; count money; return correct change; issue receipts; balance cash drawer and receipts; keep register area neat, clean and stocked with necessary supplies; and documents discrepancies).
- Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
- Perform all custodial duties (e.g., sweep and mop sales area; clean shelves, restrooms, break room, windows, launder linens, empty trash; and pick up trash in the parking lot.)
- Maintain and stock in-coming merchandise/inventory and provide guests with any supplies needed.
- Maintain a safe and friendly work environment by adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Read electrical meters.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of services, amenities, surroundings (e.g., supermarket, gift shop, restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
- Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd or unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Relevant work experience preferred
Licensing & Certification:
- None
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Ability to operate Micros POS system (cash register).
- Ability to use necessary tools to fill propane tanks.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficient with basic office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopying and faxing).
Essential Physical Requirements:
- The job requires the ability to hear, kneel, stand, talk, walk and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, sit, and turn/twist 25-50% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to crawl, crouch/stoop, drive and reach overhead 0-24% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to push and pull 1-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to carry and lift 1-25 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- The job requires the ability to problem solve, make decisions, interpret data, write and read 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to organize and plan 25-50% of the time.
- Must mathematically calculate propane levels when filling tanks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors/outdoors with frequent exposure to high/cold temperatures and occasional exposure to loud noises, confined areas, gas, propane, and diesel fumes.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screen.
- Must pass background check.
- Must complete 40 hours of propane training and receive certification.
