Transend MSO, Inc. provides administrative support to New Oakland Family Centers, a comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse provider for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Southfield

Schedule: Full-time, shift-based schedule as determined by Director of Clinical Resources

Reports To: Director of Clinical Resources

Compensation: Hourly Employee. Starting at $18 hour. Commensurate with Experience

Position Summary: The Call Center Representative must be familiar New Oakland Family Center’s protocols, policies, and procedures. Responsible for professionally responding to all incoming consumer access inquires. Must be highly focused on customer service.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Promptly and professionally answers calls, completes phone intake, and processes medical service requests and telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality agreements and policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate optimal consumer access and maximize accuracy of data entry for scheduling and clinical messaging.
  • Completes daily phone calls which consist of verifying appointments, rescheduling appointments, initiating treatment or similar duties.
  • Verifies Medicaid insurance and assists with other billing matters when required.
  • Ability to speak clearly and respond professionally in order to communicate effectively with consumers and staff, provides pre-visit instructions/directions, and relay provider instructions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in providing coverage and/or availability for the call center via scheduling adjustments for unexpected absences, events, or call volume variances
  • Responsible for monitoring Transend Transportation driving routes and clock in times; acting as dispatcher when required
  • Participates in improving Call Center performance.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to work well with all types of people

Working Conditions: Staff is to follow dress code policy per Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers and staff.
