Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Coordinate and facilitate support of tasks related to referrals, scheduling appointments, telehealth platform support and client support. Must be able to work remotely and manage general office needs. Must have designated work area in home with internet and the ability to accommodate client needs remotely.


The starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour with credit given for relative education and experience above what is required for the position.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Have a good understanding of the telehealth programs & services to explain telemedicine services to potential clients and hospitals, medical offices, home health agencies, schools, etc.
  • Educate/train potential clients on the technology and process of how to use telemedicine to complete their appointment from home or desired location.
  • Available to clients for technology support with connecting to their appointment via telemedicine.
  • Answer telephones in a timely and professional manner, route calls and deliver messages to appropriate person/department. All messages must be responded to by end of next business day. Follow up as needed.
  • Collect co-pays for same day appointments
  • Provide support with tasks related to the coordination of care for clients, examples include: lab work, requesting of copies of records from other agencies, send PCP form, upload consents or other documentation, etc.
  • Process and manage new referrals daily as assigned by Central Referral & Scheduling Manager
  • Enter new referrals if applicable into the client Electronic Health Record, update information when assigned, and inactivate referral as needed
  • Ensure Clinic provider schedules are filled according to scheduling guidelines
  • Interact with clients, caregivers, outside agencies, and other staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure consents are complete and signed by the appropriate person prior to scheduling new patient appointment
  • Verify active client funding for all scheduled appointments and update as needed
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Patient Portal, sending forms and assisting patients as needed
  • Abide by security requirements by encrypting all email communications that include PHI
  • Check existing upcoming appointments before making new to avoid duplicates
  • Verify the identity of callers by verifying 3 identifying factors and update client record as necessary
  • Check IMPOWER emails and faxes and process/respond in a timely manner
  • Staff will utilize IMPOWER tech support for technology issues and notify supervisor
  • Utilize and comply with policies and procedures for Chat/Instant Messaging system to include not using PHI and updating status
  • Serve as Lead on processing of daily fax emails. Ensure faxes are distributed to designated department by end of day.
  • Trained on daily Eligibility process and serve as back up to CRS Manager as needed. Daily eligibility will be completed each morning.
  • Assist Manager in patient credit card procedure, process and charge credit cards for services.
  • Proficient in training new staff, assist CRS Manager with training new hires.
  • Knowledge of processing new referrals through the API configuration system, running waitlist reports and assigning to staff as needed.
  • Report missed time clock punches to supervisor by end of day and approve timecard by close of business Friday each week. Request PTO in advance.
  • Assist Manager and Director with special projects as needed.
  • Complete required Relias training courses within designated time frame.
  • Abide by ethics, policies and procedures and professional standards of IMPOWER.
  • All other duties as assigned.




Requirements:


Qualifications, Education, Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast paced, medical office setting and working with a challenging clientele.
  • Successful background screenings through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State and County
  • Valid drivers license and auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record background check
  • Negative result from a multi panel drug screen
