About Us

Did you know 8 in 10 American youth don't attend church but 9 in 10 attend public school? LifeWise Academy (lifewise.org) exists to reach the unchurched students in America's public schools with the Gospel.


LifeWise Academy is a released time religious instruction program that allows kids to leave public school DURING the school day to receive Bible/gospel education. Released time is legal provided the programs are off school property, privately funded and parent permitted.


Very few people know this is possible. In fact, most members of our organization hadn't heard of this concept until just a few years ago. But in reality, released time has been around for over 100 years and has been upheld by the supreme court as constitutional. Many states even have laws allowing high school students to receive school credit for released time classes


We believe released time is the greatest missed opportunity of the church in America to reach the next generation. But we want to change that and we need your help

As the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you have a track record of being a great caretaker and are prepared to handle maintenance issues as they arise. You are organized and hard working. You have the ability to manage daily maintenance needs with big-picture thinking.

About the Job

We are looking for a gospel-centered Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for the general maintenance of the Lifewise, Inc. support center facilities in central Ohio. This position will operate out of our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • On site during normal business hours, Monday - Friday.
  • Monitor tickets for setup, repairs, maintenance and custodial needs submitted by staff for LifeWise Support Center facilities.
  • Ensure all LifeWise equipment is in good working order.
  • Ensure LifeWise grounds are regularly mowed, trimmed, leaves removed and beds clear of weeds.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with urgent custodial projects/clean-ups.
  • Assist with set-up / takedown for LifeWise events.
  • Monitor buildings for damaged walls or areas requiring drywall repair and/or paint.
  • Coordinate and work with vendors related to HVAC, door, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • During winter months, as needed, help ensure sidewalks are cleared and salt applied where needed. Generally, a hired snow removal provider will manage parking lots.
  • Monitor trash for large items to be disposed of.
  • Monitor restrooms and ensure everything is in proper operating order.
  • Monitor buildings for leaks or water damage.
  • Ensure keys are available for appropriate users.
  • Organize storage areas.
  • Ensure clutter around facilities is minimized.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain LifeWise tools.
  • Retrieve and set up seasonal items (e.g. Christmas trees) as needed or requested.
  • Ensure campus and parking lots are free of trash, especially after large events.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and other staff
