Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate LifeWise Teacher to join our team at LifeWise Academy. As a LifeWise Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students by sharing your knowledge and faith with them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Implementation
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the LifeWise curriculum
    • Invest in building strong relationships with students and their families
    • Create a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic and spiritual growth
  • Record Keeping and Communication
    • Maintain accurate attendance records and provide regular updates to LifeWise Program Director and school officials
    • Prepare and distribute necessary materials for substitute teachers
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel to ensure a smooth and successful school year
  • Classroom Management and Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized classroom environment
    • Develop and implement procedures for dealing with emergency situations
    • Purchase necessary supplies and materials for the classroom
  • Community Outreach and Engagement
    • Represent LifeWise Academy in a positive and professional manner within the community
    • Participate in annual school open houses and other outreach events
    • Maintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay informed about class schedule changes and student well-being
  • Professional Development and Certification
    • Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification program
    • Participate in annual LifeWise Summit and virtual monthly Teacher's Lounge meetings
    • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school or church setting
  • A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • Active membership in a church that aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
