Are you looking to be a Fitness and Wellness Coach, living on Long Island in New York and looking to work part-time hours (at least 20 hours weekly) as a stretch professional as you become a master of flexibility? Do you have a passion for helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals? Look no further StretchLab Woodbury was the first assisted stretching studio on Long Island and is the premier studio today. We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled fitness and wellness professionals to be trained to become a Certified Flexologist and join our vibrant team. As a Flexologist Extraordinaire, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional stretching experiences and helping our clients reach new levels of flexibility, mobility, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Paid training to become a Certified Flexologist: You will be paid to do sixty (60) hours of paid training, attend a 2-day workshop nearby, and learn from a Master Flexologist. 
  • Hours: Have a set weekly schedule of four, six-hour shifts (at least 20 hours per week). Working a Saturday or Sunday is a must. 
  • Stretching Wizardry: Utilize your expert knowledge of stretching techniques to create customized stretching sessions tailored to individual client’s needs and goals. Whether it's increasing flexibility, improving range of motion, relieving muscle tension, or enhancing athletic performance, you'll be the magical force behind it all.
  • Client Engagement: Build meaningful connections with our clients by delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Get to know our clients, understand their unique challenges and aspirations, and provide personalized recommendations to optimize their stretching sessions.
  • Motivational Coaching: Inspire and empower clients to push their boundaries and achieve their desired results. Use your positive energy and motivational skills to encourage clients during their stretching sessions and help them stay committed to their wellness journey.
  • Documentation and Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate records of client sessions, progress, and goals. Update client profiles with relevant information, including any modifications or adjustments made during stretching sessions. Regularly communicate and celebrate clients' milestones and achievements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow Flexologists and Studio Managers to ensure a smooth and cohesive client experience. Share your expertise, learn from others, and contribute to the development of the studio's stretching programs and protocols.
  • Safety and Well-being: Prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients at all times. Use proper stretching techniques, appropriate equipment, and follow all health and safety guidelines. Be proactive in identifying and addressing any potential risks or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or Kinesiology OR a certification in a related field (e.g., personal training, physical therapy, group fitness instructor) or equivalent practical experience in the field of assisted stretching.
  • A deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, particularly as they relate to stretching and flexibility.
  • Proven experience in providing exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and relatable.
  • Strong motivational and coaching abilities to support clients in reaching their wellness goals.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and progress tracking.
  • A passion for health, wellness, and helping others live their best lives.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
