Position:

Quality Inspector - Jet Machine & Manufacturing Division


Job Description:

The Quality Inspector works within the Inspection Department to ensure machined and welded parts meet customer specifications. Experience with Faro Arm is preferred.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Read and understand customer and internal drawings to determine material and production requirements
  • Comply with Jet Machine policies and procedures
  • Ensure that products meet specified requirements, including raw materials, work in process, and finished products
  • Use inspection equipment (e.g., calipers and micrometers) to measure manufactured parts
  • Document inspection results using Jet and/or customer inspection report forms
  • Create Jet inspection reports and balloon drawings
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, including cleaning the work area and inspection equipment
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Basic math skills and basic blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment, including standard inspection hand tools, Faro Arm, and CMM
  • Attention to detailed inspection requirements
  • Ability to create accurate paperwork, legibly and timely
  • Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) preferred
  • General personal computer usage, including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
