Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Director of Pharmacy and Infusion Services will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all Genefic Infusion Rx pharmacy programs and will manage a group of program directors.  This program director will provide leadership to the Genefic Infusion Rx Pharmacy strategic planning process and will implement new programmatic strategic initiatives.  In addition, this director will: provide coordination for the senior management team; serve as liaison to Genefic Infusion Rx Pharmacy’s partners, manage all other infusion pharmacy operations within Louisiana.

This Director will partner with his/her peers (the chief financial officer (CFO), Chief Operations Officer (COO), Director of IT, and Director of human resources) and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D and valid license (in Louisiana and Mississippi) at least 10 years of experience and a track record in senior program management.
  • Experience with and knowledge of IV admixture procedures.
  • Two years supervisory experience in a hospital or home health care setting
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
  • Deep experience in program budgeting and fiscal management.
  • Track record of effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas; excellent project management skills.
  • Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
  • Past experience managing human resource’s function including personnel, compensation, and recruiting.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Operational Leadership:
  • Adheres to organization policies and procedures.
  • Manage infusion pharmacy on site in Metairie, LA by overseeing all operations for the pharmacy.  
  • Reviews, receives/verifies all new patient orders and documents the same on the respective order form.
  • Provides consultation and answers inquiries from patients, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding drugs and their use.
  • Maintains thorough and appropriate documentation in the patient/client record of all clinical activities and communication with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintains pharmacy records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs.
  • Identify opportunities for Genefic Infusion Rx to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
  • Develop and implement training and educational programs/in-services to expand the capacity of all staff.
  • Prepare and submit an annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
  • Ensure the continued financial viability Genefic Infusion Rx operational units through sound fiscal management.
  • Participates in recruitment, hiring, and performance reviews of pharmacy personnel.
  • Supervises, coordinates and/or participates in the preparation of sterile admixtures, dispenses all pharmaceutical and related supplies and equipment in accordance with federal, state and local laws and standards of practice which govern the profession of pharmacy
  • Participates in on-call rotation.
  • Participates in orientation/training programs for new personnel and current staff.
External Relationship Development:
  • Manage and cultivate existing relationships with partners to secure and expand recurring revenue streams.
Salary Range
  • $140K - $160K per year
