Duties and Responsibilities
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Post incoming wires received through various Treasury Management platforms.
- Process outgoing wires and check requests for all real estate closings and settlement payments.
- Assist in the opening and closing process of firm bank accounts.
- Open and close investment subaccounts for trust escrow deposits.
- Assist with requests relating to voided trust checks, stop payments, and reissuing stale-dated trust checks.
- Process firm-related outgoing wires and post corresponding general ledger transactions.
- Reconcile firm and trust bank account statements.
- Back up the Cash Receipts team by posting incoming operating account deposits.
- Physical attendance and punctuality at the place of work.
- Performs additional duties as instructed and assigned.
Skills and Educational Requirements
- Experience working with online business banking or Treasury Management platforms.
- Aderant accounting software experience, a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Reliability, teamwork, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail are essential.
- Must have 3 - 5 years of experience work experience in law firm accounting.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Including lift/carry, up to 10 pounds, typing/using a keyboard, writing by hand, collating/filing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time position.
- Hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, with the flexibility to work extra hours, as needed.
