We are currently seeking an outgoing, motivated candidate to work in our warehouse. This shipping & receiving lead role will have inventory, quality and receiving responsibilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Vernon, CA.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keeping up with purchase orders to ensure accuracy in our inventory and traceability.
  • Safe food practices, ensuring “FIFO” (First In First Out) is being met, following all company GHP’s.
  • Responsible for the quality of the product and service within the department is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
  • Reporting any Damages, Error, Discrepancies and NOCs to Grocery and Produce Procurement and Warehouse Teams.
  • Completing daily logs, keeping up with warehouse temperatures to ensure food safety. Making sure trucks a being measured and have the proper temperatures and documentation.
  • Works closely with supervisor to ensure that we meet our daily goals.
  • Coach and cross-train team members to cover other departments, when needed.
  • Daily safety observation, training team members on proper ways to lift, push, box cutting and eye contact with employees using heavy equipment.
  • Conducts daily random audits in all departments.
  • Ensures employees take their break & meal rest periods on time.
  • Assuring team members hit their targeted time to finish and minimizing overtime.
  • Assist with coverage when any employee is on PTO/sick leave.
  • Keeping up with our inventory of supplies needed for the week.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs. all day
  • Forklift experience
  • Proficient in computer skills, math and data entry
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Must be able to work and stand for 8+ hours
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and excellent with numbers
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • The hours for this position are from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
