Work Schedule: 6 days a week with potential for overtime as needed
Starting Wage: $19.05 - $22.05 per hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and efficient individual to join our Ham Boning Department for the 2nd shift. The primary responsibility of this role is to debone hams, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift 25 lbs continuously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use knives and other tools to remove bones from hams efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure meat is properly trimmed and prepared for further processing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boning area, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Inspect deboned meat for quality and report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in the boning process.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in ham boning.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in meat processing, specifically in deboning, is preferred.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a cold and fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to cold temperatures in a refrigerated processing environment.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Use of protective gear, including gloves, aprons, and safety goggles.
