Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
Work Schedule: 6 days a week with potential for overtime as needed
Starting Wage: $17.55 - $20.55 per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Ham Curing Department for the 1st shift. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the curing process of hams, ensuring quality and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift 25 lbs continuously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare hams for the curing process, including trimming and cleaning as necessary.
  • Apply curing agents and ensure proper handling and storage of hams.
  • Monitor curing times and conditions to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the curing area, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Inspect hams for quality and report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in the curing process.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in ham curing.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a meat processing or food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a cold and fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to cold temperatures in a refrigerated processing environment.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Use of protective gear, including gloves, aprons, and safety goggles.
