Stoa Group is seeking a full-time Quality Control Technician to join our growing team in LOCATION. Our Quality Control Technician will be responsible for all final quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company quality standards for all mechanical, electrical, structural, and finish trades. This position will cover the areas of Louisiana to Mississippi, with areas and opportunities expanding with our growth.

What you'll do

  • Conducts inspections upon building/project completion and uses inspection checklists as a tool for monitoring compliance.
  • Prepare post-inspection reports, including documentation of QC inspection activities and observations.
  • Completes other Quality Assurance documents and reports as required by the Stoa QA program
  • Compile data into useful feedback tools for QC Managers, trades, field teams, and vendor partners.
  • Acts as an "internal customer" prior to the Community Management team to ensure high levels of quality and functionality are delivered.
  • Manage your schedule between active jobs and plan QC visits based on the project schedule accordingly.
  • Communicate with each job's superintendent to stay up to date on progress and buildings ready for inspection.
  • Participate in preparatory meetings and regular progress meetings in the assigned area.
  • Perform other duties as specified by QA Manager.

Job Requirements & Skills

  • 1-5 years of experience in residential construction; other pertinent work experience will be considered. Completed coursework in construction management accepted in lieu of experience
  • Ability to work independently without supervision in a deadline-driven environment
  • High level of organization skills and acute attention to detail
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to haul tool bag of equipment and small ladder in vehicle
  • Ability to learn drone operation for remote inspections if necessary
  • Part 107 Remote Pilot certification a plus
  • The position requires 70-80% travel but may go up to 90% during peak times.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs and to stand and walk for long periods of time.
