RESPONSIBILITIES


70% Machine Maintenance

  • Establish and maintain a successful safety culture by implementing and driving disciplined processes and systems to ensure the safety of all employees and contractors. This includes supporting established safety programs and standards, SOP’s, identifying and eliminating hazards and enforcing all safety rules.
  • Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Ensure equipment supplies and factory facilities are in appropriate working condition to meet business needs.
  • Ensure proper preventive maintenance programs are implemented and maintained to maximize uptime and minimize catastrophic maintenance events.
  • Lead, plan and participate in continuous improvement, cost reductions and production optimization efforts to meet and exceed budget expectations.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance materials and equipment.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
  • Prepare timely reports for distribution to internal customers; maintain accurate records and files.

20% Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work with the Automation Team to provide input and feedback on developmental efforts for robotics, machinery, and other equipment required in the factory in order to advance company efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment which provides employees and customers a positive impression of Agorus’ state-of-the-art factory and company.
  • Think always in terms of scalability and not one-time solutions or putting out fires.

10% Guide & Mentor

  • Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technicians.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of factory process and equipment, have workable knowledge of industry technological developments and best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of company product, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong customer service acumen
  • Understanding of PLC programing
  • Background in strategic planning
  • Understanding of electronics and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Strong technical leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills or knowledge of supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively implement change.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and lead teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Associate degree or Vocational Certificate in related field preferred.
  • Metal fabrication, with certificate in structural steel welding, highly preferred.
  • 5+ years’ demonstrated maintenance supervisory experience required.
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

ONBOARDING ROADMAP

First 30 Days

  • Meet and get to know the team.
  • Find your footings – understanding Agorus’ current processes and where we lack processes
  • Training for Microsoft Teams
  • Learn and get involved in Factory move discussions, understand the challenges and team-members involved
  • Learn and get involved in Maintenance discussions, understanding Stan’s strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth
  • Get hands dirty side by side with the team as we tear-down our current factory and start moving to our new location
  • Learn and understand Agorus upcoming business, factory layout, and what additional resources the Maintenance Team might need
  • Get an initial in-brief on ONE Line from our automation team, our future robotics manufacturing solution
  • Get to know the entire MFG & Agorus Team
  • Get to know points of contact for our various machinery/maintenance providers

First 60 Days

  • Take ownership and lead the installation of machinery and supporting equipment at our new location
  • Continue to lead by example, getting hands-on side by side with the team as we install machinery and fabricate new materials movement systems (amongst others) at our new facility
  • Work with Stan to understand our current PM system and align on how you might improve said system
  • Work with MFG leadership to understand upcoming production queue and potential maintenance requirements
  • Lead build out of maintenance shop/fabrication shop in new facility that is ready to support MFG needs 24/7
  • Forecast future maintenance/fabrication needs as they related to our new factory
  • Begin hiring process (if needed) for new maintenance techs

First 90 Days

  • Implementation/ongoing execution of updated PM system
  • Long-term roadmap for Maintenance Team completed
  • Complete hiring process for additional maintenance techs and a clear roadmap for any future hires
  • Long-term roadmap for future factory optimization(s), whether it be around material storage, material flow, etc.
  • Communicate feedback and ideas to the ONE Line team as new robotics arrive and achieve operational capacity at our new facility
