Job Description:
We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about providing high-quality care. As a CMA in our family medicine office, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering injections, and collecting specimens for laboratory testing.
- Prepare patients for examination and ensure they are comfortable and informed about the procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient follow-ups, and handle prescription refills as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and properly equipped.
- Provide patients with instructions on medications and general health advice as directed by healthcare providers.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest practices in family medicine.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
