JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Intellectual Property Supervisor to join our team at The Wound Pros (TWP). The Intellectual Property Supervisor will play a critical role in managing and protecting our intellectual property portfolio while serving as a liaison between various teams involved in our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by ensuring the strategic management of our intellectual property assets.



WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

  • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Conduct intellectual property (IP) searches and assessments to identify opportunities for protection and potential infringement risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including research and development, legal, marketing, and business development teams, to identify and prioritize intellectual property opportunities aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on intellectual property matters, including patentability, infringement, licensing, and enforcement strategies.
  • Review and negotiate intellectual property provisions in contracts, agreements, and licensing arrangements.
  • Stay current with developments in intellectual property law, regulations, and industry trends to inform decision-making and advise stakeholders accordingly.
  • Train and educate team members on intellectual property best practices and procedures.
  • Data Collection and Management:
    • Collaborate with the Intellectual Property team to collect and record data in accordance with protocols.
    • Organize and manage IP data, ensuring its accuracy and confidentiality.


ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in intellectual property management with understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, including patent and trademark law. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.


WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, sociology, etc.). 
  • An advanced degree or certification in Intellectual Property Law is preferred and recommended.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry innovations, materials techniques, and market landscape.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and process development skills.
