JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for proper receiving and shipping of parts, creation of shipping documents, receiving and cycle counting of inventory, and insuring all orders have been processed and filled correctly. Associate will be responsible for accurate tracking and management of orders coming in and out of the warehouse. This position requires a valid Forklift Operator's Certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments, locations or areas.
- Unpacks, examines, verifies and routes incoming shipments, appropriately records shortages and any discrepancies in item quality or type.
- Reject damaged items and contacts vendors to inform them about the quantity of such items
- Receives, documents, and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Performs computer functions necessary to create shipping labels and Bills of Lading.
- Performs computer functions necessary to create process and complete sales orders, transfer orders, shipping and purchase order receiving documentation into ERP systems.
- Responsible for selecting the carrier and arranging for pickup of customers sales orders, transfer orders and any other Parts and Services shipping requirements.
- Provide tracking information and respond to shipping quires via phone and electronically via email in the Parts and Services and Repair Hub Support inboxes.
- Reports and makes records of defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Manager.
- Performs picking, packing and shipping of orders out to customers or other warehouses
- Preforms cycle counting as assigned by Management and reports findings.
- Complete daily forklift inspection reports and maintain those records onsite
- Fuel forklift
- Assist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned facility
- Maintain the warehouse, forklift and tools to ensure that they are kept clean and in good repair
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years warehousing, shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Forklift Driver Certification IS REQUIRED
- Possess a current valid driver’s license with clean driving record IS REQUIRED
- Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; Ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device
- Ability to climb a 10’ ladder
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required. May be subjected to inclement seasonal weather conditions if position calls for working in a warehouse or factory environment, or traveling to/from various locations
- Travel requirements: Negligible
- Warehouse/Factory environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud –safety equipment provided
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
