WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
Plan to work Monday through Friday, with a schedule that consists of 40-hour weeks.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
As a Mental Health Therapist, you play a crucial role in offering services and advocating for families, both within and beyond the agency. Utilizing evidence-based practices and diverse therapeutic methods, you deliver individual and group therapy to children, adults, couples, and families. You conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, collaborate with clients and their guardians to establish treatment goals, and intervene in crises when necessary.
You work in tandem with other professionals and external agencies to coordinate services that bolster clients' mental health and overall stability. Managing billing for self-pay and insured clients, you actively participate in utilization reviews of clinical files, ensuring strict adherence to insurance and Medicaid requirements. Your commitment to meticulous documentation is evident, and you find immense satisfaction in creating a positive counseling environment for youth and families
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another related human services field
- Knowledge about evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population we serve
- Understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism
- Ability and willingness to complete the children and residential experiences (CARE) and therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) training
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
