DELVE DEEPER INTO THIS MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR - THERAPIST ROLE

As our full-time Mental Health Counselor - Therapist, your day is filled with impactful and rewarding tasks. You provide individual and group therapy to children, adults, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches. You conduct bio-psycho-social assessments, develop treatment goals with clients and their guardians, and participate in clinical case staffing and crisis intervention when needed.

Your role involves collaborating with other professionals as part of a care team, coordinating with external agencies and families to ensure clients receive the support they need for their mental health and overall stability. You also be responsible for proper billing for self-pay and insured clients, participating in utilization reviews (URs) to ensure all insurance and Medicaid requirements are met, and maintaining accurate documentation.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

We're looking for a Mental Health Counselor - Therapist who can meet the following:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another related human services field
  • Knowledge about evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population we serve
  • Understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism
  • Ability and willingness to complete the children and residential experiences (CARE) and therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) training
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

A licensed clinical social work (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
