GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Facility Safety and Compliance Manager (FSCM) is responsible for ensuring that all organizational safety initiatives are carried out/enforced at programs. This position supports all program administration with the development and implementation of comprehensive facility specific safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe environment for UC in care and personnel.
ABOUT YOU
You will be detail oriented and self-motivated to meet goals in a timely manner. This person will also be a strategic person who can work alone without any extensive supervision to solve issues or create innovative plans.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversees the operation, maintenance, and management of our shelter facilities
- Ensures that all building systems are functioning efficiently and safely
- Ensures that the facilities are maintained to a high standard to support business operations
- Provides guidance to maintenance staff in the implementation and completion of project tasks
- Oversees daily operations of the facility, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Develops and implements emergency response plans.
- Coordinates drills and training for staff to handle emergencies effectively.
- Oversees facility-related projects, including renovations, and major repairs.
- Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Plans and coordinates all maintenance activities, including routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of systems and equipment
- Implements and manages the best practices surrounding aspects of Fleet management, Inventory, vehicle maintenance, risk management planning, and asset disposal
- Develops internal agency policy on fleet management
- Provides training on specific building maintenance and safety practices and standards to equip staff with the knowledge of safety practices for building maintenance
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and/or REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or related field
- 3 years of experience in the related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft systems
- Active driver’s license
- OSHA certifications are preferred but not needed
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
